Kenny Miller Lands Maccabi Tel Aviv Job
Kenny Miller signs a one-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv after leading the club to Israeli State Cup success as caretaker boss
Former Scotland striker Kenny Miller has been confirmed as Maccabi Tel Aviv’s new permanent head coach after winning the Israeli State Cup during his spell as caretaker.
The 46-year-old steps into the role on a one-year deal, with an option to extend for a further season, following victory over Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the final. Miller will be joined in the dugout by Stuart Taylor, who left St Mirren to take up the assistant’s role.
Miller initially arrived in Israel in January as part of Ronny Deila’s backroom team, following the Norwegian from Atlanta United. He was promoted to interim boss after Deila’s controversial exit in May and has now been handed the job on a full-time basis.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Miller said: “From the moment I arrived at the club, I felt the passion, ambition and expectations that make Maccabi such a special place.”
